Everyone needs a break from time to time. Regardless of how much vacation/sick leave we have as workers, calling in or being absent from work can cause feelings of guilt and concern about being fired. This is true, at least for U.S. workers. A survey reported that 11% of U.S. workers work more than 50 hours a week and 40% of Americans spend their days at work. People need breaks.
